About Me

Firstly, thank you for clicking on my about me link and giving me the opportunity

to tell you who I am and what I do.

I am a freelance Computer technician available in the Sligo Area.

So what inspires me to do what I do?

From a young age of 6 my father bought a computer a Wang Computer which came with Windows 3.1 and DOS. Funny enough I always used DOS command prompt to access the games as windows 3.1 could not run the games of the time. At that time the only use of windows 3.1 was it had a good calculator and you could use it to surf the internet.

I was always fascinated by how things work; this led me to do Electronic Product Design in Sligo IT which later was renamed to Electronic Engineering when I gradated. I studied for 4 years. Those four years I learned practically how to soldier and build circuits out of individual components. Also I learn how to write code for micro controllers.

At present I am working in a Internet Café in Sligo. I have worked here for over 3 years and with the general dutys of work I also am the technician and I maintain all the Computers, the network and the voip service within the shop.

I have gained a lot of diverse skills, through the theory learned in College, the hands on experience of where I work at present.
